The Enon Emergency Relief is a local
non-profit volunteer organization that provides emergency assistance to residents of the
Mad-River Green School District. This assistance includes food, clothing, furniture, and
small amounts of financial aid for prescriptions and utilities. The EER also runs Federal
Surplus Commodity Distributions each two months, provides two yearly clothing
distributions, transient assistance, and manages the community Christmas Adopt-a-Family
program. We provide workers, assist in making deliveries, and provide financial support
during the year. For more information, or to become involved, contact Gerald Bennett (937)
864-2213.
The Enon United Methodist Christian Nursery School

mornings only, and the four-year-olds meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the morning
or afternoon. Class sizes are limited. For more information, call Marti Ventolo at (937)

In conjunction with other Clark County churches, the Enon UMC
participates in the Interfaith Hospitality
Network, which provides assistance to homeless women, children and families. We
host them in our church for a week six times a year. Our members, with help from two other
Enon churches, provide overnight accommodations, dinners, breakfasts, and lunches for
people in the Network. During the day they stay at the Day Center in Springfield and are
provided with help in finding jobs, housing, or other special needs. Our church members
cook and provide dinners and breakfasts and stay overnight with our guests.
For more information, contact Mary-Ellen Lindsey at (937) 864-2213.
