Campus Crusade for Christ International is an
interdenominational ministry committed to helping take the gospel of
Jesus Christ to all nations. The organization cooperates with
Christians from churches of many denominations and hundreds of other
Christian organizations around the world to help Christians grow in
their faith and share the Gospel. They are especially active in
evangelism at many universities, and representatives will be found
wherever the students are, in school or on spring break. They
provide Freshman Survival Kits containing fun and culturally
relevant ways to communicate the gospel. They also use the internet
and study and discussions groups to reach students on their own
terms.
Our church assists in supporting Steve and Emily
Ruffner who serve with the International School Project in Xenia,
Ohio. ISP reaches students by training teachers to reach their
students with the Gospel. Steve graduated from Wayne State
University and has been on staff with Campus Crusade since 1994
after a year of seminary training. Steve was Program Director of New
Staff Training before joining the ISP staff. Emily (Holt) Ruffner is
an alumnus of this church which she attended while growing up. She
graduated from Kent State University and joined the staff the same
summer. She began her ministry at Illinois State University and she
and Steve have worked in Central Ohio starting new ministries in 12
different campuses. Emily served at the World Headquarters in Lake
Hart, Florida prior to moving to ISP. For more information on Campus
Crusade for Christ you can consult their web site (www.ccci.org).
